Technology Standards For Instructional Personnel
Excerpt from the VBCPS TSIP Overview:
Following a review of national and other states' technology standards, our state's task force developed eight technology standards and submitted them to the Virginia Board of Education for approval. These standards were designed to be incorporated into local school division technology plans, as well as into approved teacher preparation programs in institutions of higher education within the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The Virginia Board of Education adopted the Technology Standards for Instructional Personnel (TSIP) in November, 1997. Effective March 4, 1998, Virginia Code, Section 22.1-16, mandated that instructional personnel achieve proficiency in eight technology standards and established guidelines for local implementation.

The material does cover each section of the TSIP test, Basic Operations, Productivity, and Integration.There is a growing guide to Terminology, and a section on Test Taking Tips. Telecommunication and Information Retrieval is a part of both Productivity and Integration, because of the size I separated this section of study.
